Drink-IT User Forum & EMCS Event

Nearly all Belgian Drink-IT customers were present for the Drink-IT User Forum and EMCS event at the NORRIQ Belgium office in Tremelo.

The User Forum was held for the first time and had as purpose that the Drink-IT customers could tell us which enhancements they would like us to add to the product. Lots of useful ideas, comments and propositions came up and will now be evaluated by the Drink-IT Team in the determination of the product roadmap.

In the afternoon, the new Drink-IT EMCS module was presented to the Belgian customers.

EMCS (Excise Movement and Control System) is a computerized system for monitoring movements of excise goods under suspension of excise duty within the EU, i.e. for which no excise duties have yet been paid. As of the 1th of January 2011 the paper document - the Administrative Accompanying Document or AAD - that currently must accompany such movements will be replaced by the electronic messages from the consignor to the consignee via Member State administrations.

With this EMCS solution, Drink-IT is keeping up with the European legal requirements!
